About Dr. Rows
As an international medical graduate (IMG) who is now a board-certified physician in the United States, I have first-hand EXPERIENCE with the challenges involved in completing the USMLEs. I spent years researching the most efficient approach to scoring HIGH and devoted countless hours to working with TUTORS AND EXPERTS to learn the ins and outs of these exams. Through this process, I developed, refined, and PERFECTED a step-by-step approach to USMLE questions that helped me score 260+ on all my exams. I also learned that the traditional approach is far from EFFICIENT, and found a significant MISMATCH between the information available on the internet and the REALITY of the USMLE Step 3!
So I started TUTORING students online, where I enjoyed sharing my strategies, and test-taking skills. I was AMAZED with how these skills were not only TEACHABLE, but also yielded ASTONISHING results: ALL students I worked with improved their assessment exam scores by 20 POINTS, striking the difference between passing and failing.
As time went by, more and more students requested tutoring sessions. So I decided to unloaded all my TEST-TAKING SKILLS into the online course I am offerring here, and structured it to be more accessible.
This Could be YOU!
Don’t miss out on this incredible opportunity to finally learn the USMLE Test-taking skills. Never before were these SKILLS presented in a an online course. For the first time, I am revealing my test-taking STRATEGIES that I usually teach private students 1-on-1 for a $3,000 fee covering 10+ tutoring sessions. I’ve been told that all physicians needs to learn these skills, so I made this online course affordable for EVERYONE to boost their scores without having to go through individual tutoring.

Frequently Asked Questions
The USMLE TACTICS Course gives you thorough step-by-step instructions on what to do from the day you decide to sit for your USMLE Step 3 exam to passing with your highest possible score.
In Section 1, I cover the best study materials for MCQs, CCS, biostatistics, and provide time management strategies.
Section 2 focuses on test-taking skills to help students apply their medical knowledge efficiently, especially when facing challenging, wordy, or distracting questions.
Section 3 includes 40 challenging USMLE-style questions with detailed explanations to teach step-by-step decision-making for tackling complex exam scenarios.
Sections 1, 2 and 3 of the course are designed for USMLE Step 3. However, modules in section 2 and 3 are extremely useful for the USMLE Step 2 CK preparation. Even more, lessons in section 2 and 3 are EQUALLY APPLICABLE for USMLE Step 2 CK, as they apply to USMLE Step 3. So the course is for students preparing for USMLE Step 2 CK and USMLE Step 3. This course is not designed for students planning to take USMLE Step 1.
No! Any student who takes this course and applies its lessons will see immediate results in USMLE Step 2 and USMLE Step 3. However, students who had USMLE Step 2 CK or USMLE Step 3 attempts are more likely to see their assessment exam scores jump after taking this course.
Unfortunately, while both exams share much in common, they are scored differently. You might see your USMLE Step 3 score dropping by around 20 points, so plan accordingly.
All USMLE courses focus on teaching medical knowledge and “high-yield” information. This knowledge is essential. However, I noticed a gap where USMLE tutors and instructors do not teach test-taking skills or guide on how to apply this knowledge in the actual exam. My course aims to bridge this gap and guide you on how to use all the medical knowledge you have in the USMLE.
The practice questions in this course are designed to be more complex and include more distractions than actual USMLE Step 3 questions. If you can handle these practice questions, you’ll find the exam questions easier and will perform well. The goal is to push you beyond the usual question banks, so you’re fully prepared for anything the real exam throws your way.
The USMLE TACTICS Course comes with a 90 day on-demand access so that you have time to watch now, and as many times as needed to solidify the skills taught in the course.
I’m confident that the lessons in this course will work for your exam preparation because they’ve been simplified to be easy to implement. Once you watch the videos, you’ll learn these methods and be able to apply them effectively. Since students can quickly adopt this approach, it wouldn’t be fair to refund after accessing the full course. However, if you follow my advice, purchase the recommended study materials, and still don’t pass, I will refund you.
I’m working on developing section 3 of the course. It currently has 40 practice questions available to enrolled students, but will have more in the near future.
Unfortunately, I am not taking on more students at the moment. But I am available for questions and guidance by email at dr.rows@uadviser.us to discuss.
Both exams are largely similar, and I cover the details in my FREE section of the course. To summarize, the main surface difference is that Step 3 includes CCS cases and is a two-day exam. However, the real difference is in scoring. Step 3 is graded more harshly, and students often score about 20 points lower on Step 3 compared to Step 2 CK, even with the same knowledge level.
The students making these claims are often already proficient in test-taking skills, either naturally or through extensive practice. Many of them scored high on Step 2 CK, so their foundational knowledge is strong. For them, passing Step 3 may require minimal studying, especially if they only aim to pass. My course, however, is designed for students who didn’t perform as well on Step 2 CK and are at a higher risk of failing Step 3
While passing the USMLE Step 3 exam is not required to secure a residency position, it can help. Program directors typically invite candidates for interviews based on their application. Getting USMLE Step 3 out of the way will convey that you are devoted to your residency training. Therefore, completing it will improve your chances of getting more interviews. However, during the residency interview, the selection committee will no longer consider your USMLE Step 3 completion status as heavily. Instead, they will focus on your personality, personability, social skills, and ability to “fit in” with the current residency class. They will prioritize your ability to work as a group and further patient care. So in summary, if you’re deciding on whether or not to sit for USMLE Step 3 before or after the match, it’s essential to consider the following:
USMLE Step 3 score typically drops by 20 points from a USMLE Step 2 CK score. If your Step 2 CK score is below 220, there are two options to consider: a) Delay taking the USMLE Step 3 exam, as a score below 220 in Step 2 CK puts you at a higher risk of failing Step 3, which could negatively impact your application. b)Proceed with caution. If you must take the USMLE Step 3 despite a low score in Step 2 CK, leverage your medical knowledge by enrolling in the USMLE TACTICS Course to maximize your chances of passing.
In conclusion, passing the USMLE Step 3 exam may increase the chances of receiving an interview invitation, but it is not a guarantee for residency matching. Program directors prioritize the candidate’s fit in their program over USMLE scores. If your USMLE Step 2 CK score is below 220, it may be wise to delay taking Step 3 or enrolling in the USMLE TACTICS Course.
Unfortunately, I do not cover CCS cases or biostatistics in this course. My focus is on the bulk of the exam, which consists of clinical multiple-choice questions (MCQs), as that is where most students struggle and need improvement.
